Four Corners  [Chris Moos/Paula Eagle]

I been told that the man I'm loving ain't good

But sometimes I only hear what I wanna hear

And I believe what I wanna believe

Told myself he'd come around

But now I'm sharing with a stranger and I'm starting to see

Yes, I think I agree

He's got one foot 'cross the border in Arizona, I can't trust him anymore

He hangs a hat in Colorado, another in New Mexico

He's got one foot 'cross the border, it's always one eye on the door

He tries to save a little love for me

But I'm sitting here in Utah, watching the wind blow

I kill the hours when he's not around

But I sigh as the clock creeps by one tick at a time

As I go through the motions

I put a brave face on

But it's getting hard to hide the desolation inside

Should I let him know I know?

He's got one foot 'cross the border in Arizona, I can't trust him anymore

He hangs a hat in Colorado, another in New Mexico

He's got one foot 'cross the border, it's always one eye on the door

He tries to save a little love for me

But I'm sitting here in Utah, watching the wind blow

Then he comes through with the kissing and the lovin

I change my tune, and I'm a butterfly floating on wings of song

He's got one foot 'cross the border in Arizona, I can't trust him anymore

He hangs a hat in Colorado, another in New Mexico

We take a trip to California, it seems everything is all right

But he's got one eye on the window, watching his time

. . . and I'm sitting here in Utah, watching the wind blow . . .

Maren  [Chris Moos]

We didn't have much to unite us

We've broken up, I guess it's safe to say

And Maren's not my girl, she's not my woman-child

Maren's far, far away

I look into the night sky and I wonder what she might be thinking

I know a lot of what she feels

Long-distance love never, never lasts forever

Suddenly it's in the past, like we were never meant to be

But that's the same moon Maren sees

And there's a little joy for me

And though we spoke of life together

There wasn't what you could call plans

Was I the only one who thought that we could make it happen

As I felt the warmth in her graceful hands?

I look into the night sky and I wonder what she's thinking

I know a lot of what she feels

Long-distance love never, never lasts forever

Suddenly it's in the past, like we were never meant to be

But that's the same moon Maren sees

And there's a little joy for me

Long-distance love never, never lasts forever

Suddenly it's in the past, like we were never meant to be

But that's the same moon Maren sees

So as long as I can live beside the lake I'll be OK

And plant a garden when the time is right

And keep a Vincent Indian in my shed

And look into the sky at night

Bahama Breeze  [Chris Moos/Renee Madden]

I am glad to spend some time in Tennessee

Every now and then as the need may be

I am glad to be visiting, traveling for Bahama Breeze

There's a woman there who loves me, with golden hair and eyes of a dreamer

She's got lips that invite me to places that I never would have been in

Yeah, she's got hips that excite me, make me wanna do a showy little dip

You get her a bit giddy, she might sing you a little cavatina

Whoa Liza, I hear mountain music; Liza I need to touch you again

How's it get to be so long?

She drives a '94 Tornado, still going strong at the age of 23

She parks it out on the gravel, shines there just as pretty as the anemones

Yeah, it's her own status vehicle, it gets her from point A to B

When I been back home a while, I start to picture Falls Creek Falls

Winding through the cedars on the mountain

They announced it on St. Valentine's, they don't need me to travel for Bahama Breeze

They announced it on St. Valentine's, my services they no longer needed

It's the 15th, and I'm packing, on my way to Tennessee

Whoa Liza I hear mountain music; Liza I need to touch you again

How's it get to be so long?

Liza, I wanna hear mountain music; Liza I need to touch you again

How's it get to be so long?

A Fool Like Me  [Chris Moos/Paula Eagle/Howie Laskin]

Have you ever been a fool in love, it’s like drowning, you fall so deep

But you never hit the bottom of the sea
Soon you find you’re in over your head
And you’re down there, out of safety’s reach
If you’ve ever been a fool in love you might question
Who will love a fool like me?

Love’s a pastime you can lose
They tell you, but you dive in unafraid
Now it’s clear it’s over, it’s over
This love was a game best left unplayed

If you’ve ever been a fool in love
You know the question: who will love a fool like me?

Love’s a pastime you can lose
They tell you, but you dive in unafraid
Now it’s clear it’s over, it’s over
This love was a game best left unplayed

Have . . . you . . . ever been a fool in love
It’s like rapture of the deep
And you never reach the bottom of the sea
If you’ve ever been a fool
You know the answer: who will love a fool like me

Clingman's Dome  [Chris Moos]

Sometimes you make me a little unhappy, sometimes you make me a lot

Sometimes I'm up on Clingman's Dome, dancing at the top

Then I find myself wanderin' the valley, and nothing makes sense

Even whether I care is in a little black box, but I know the  near the end

I look back through the distance, a life of illusion

I see into the future

And all I know is a flaming desire and a heart full of wishes and bitter conclusion

Sometimes love's a game and I'm a player, sometimes I watch

Love throws me a screaming meteor, and I decide to dodge

Sometimes I win by holding out, sometimes by giving in

And the consequence of what I choose is what I live with

I look back through the distance, a life of illusion

I see into the future

And all I know is a smold'ring desire and a heart full of promises and bitter conclusion

Sometimes my heart turns a little uneasy, sometimes I feel it shatter

Sometimes the sun shines on Clingman's Dome, in the valley it don't matter

I look back through the distance, a life of illusion

I see into the future

And all I know is a flaming desire and a heart full of promises

Love Picks
Love Picks Me Up  [Chris Moos/Renee Madden]
Love picks me up, love pulls me out of my seat
Love drops me down in your doorway
And I stand here ringing, grinning, ringing
Love sucks me in, love begins to whisper your name
Love gathers all my feelings together
And I go 'round singing, grinning, singing
In my dream, you welcome me
I love you long, I love you deep
And no one comes between
Love sets me in motion
Love sends pictures of you across my vision
Love lights my path, navigates my way
Love lights my path, navigates my way
In my dream, you welcome me
I love you long, I love you sweet
And no one comes between
I'm never gonna miss a chance to love you
In my dream, you welcome me
I love you long, I love you deep
And no one comes between

West End Lover  [Chris Moos/Paula Eagle]

You are surprised I want to kiss you

Come now, look your best friend in the eye

Now that you know, you should consider

Waking every morning, knowing we don't say goodbye

As foolish as it makes me feel, I had to make it clear to you

Love that's true and real, is what i have in here for you

I am devoted to you, you'll never worry

I'll make sure you're never blue

When you hear the drummer, 'crost the Texas midnight

That's my heart say'n lover, don't be shy

You are the one i'm gonna run to

West End lover, run to me

As foolish as it makes me feel, i had to make it clear to you

Love that's true and real, is what i have in here for you

I am devoted to you, you'll never worry

I'll make sure you're never blue

When you hear the drummer, 'crost the Texas midnight

That's my heart say'n lover, don't be shy

You are the one i'm gonna run to

West End lover, run to me

You're my West End lover, come . . .
